Description
Difficulty Level - Very Easy
Our Acoustic Foam Panels share all the same great acoustical sound absorbing properties as most of our other foam products, but at a lower price. Acoustic Foam Panels are designed to provide good sound absorption with minimal thickness. Made of flexible polyurethane foam, the acoustic foam panel is manufactured to provide optimal uniform cell structure, maximum airflow resistance, as well as good heat, humidity, flame, and chemical resistance. Acoustic Foam Panels are UL94HF1 fire rated and flat on both sides. Acoustic Foam Panels are available in a variety of dimensions, with a variety of protective facings, and with or without Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) for an easy peel-and-place application.
Acoustic Foam Panels are available in four color options: charcoal, aqua, pumpkin and chocolate.

Features / Benefits
Engineered for performance — Acoustic Foam Panels are engineered to be an excellent sound absorption product at a low cost. Acoustic Foam Panels absorb sound generated at low, mid and high frequencies.
Quality — Acoustic Foam Panels are made with flexible, professional grade acoustic polyurethane foam. The foam keeps its color longer than other lower quality foams. Acoustic Foam Panels are firmer than other acoustic foam products on the market, which adds protection against rips or tears. The foam is consistent in density and firmness so acoustic performance will also be consistent.
Ease of Installation — Acoustic Foam Panels are lightweight and can be attached to a variety of surfaces. No special tools or materials are needed. Acoustic Foam Panels are available with a Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) backing for an easy peel-and-place application.
Fiber Free — Acoustic Foam Panels are safe to use in clean room, medical and computer equipment environments.
Variety — Acoustic Foam Panels are available in charcoal, aqua, pumpkin and chocolate color options. Acoustic Foam Panels are also available in a variety of film facings. All facing are applied to charcoal foam. Click here for more information on film facings. Acoustic Foam Panels are available in a large variety of thicknesses and outside dimensions. Click here for special order thicknesses and sizes. Custom sizes available; click here or call 1-866-949-9COW for details.
Flammability — Acoustic Foam Panels are manufactured from polyurethane foam that has a flammability rating of UL94 HF-1. Before choosing this product, be sure the flammability rating passes your local building code for exposed materials. Please read the Polyurethane Foam Warning. For the best flammability rating see our Class A™ Acoustic Foam Panels.

Polyurethane Foam Warning
All Polyurethane Foams, including Combustion Modified Foams, will burn. Do not expose to any flame source. Once ignited, they can produce rapid flame spread, intense heat, dense smoke and toxic gases causing death. Warnings should be given to your employees and or customers. Test data does not necessarily reflect a foams performance under actual fire conditions. Before purchasing any foam, be sure to check with your local code officials to confirm the required flammability rating of exposed materials for your area.

Special Order Film Facings
To accommodate a wide variety of applications, Acoustic Foam Panels are available with film facings. While the performance and physical characteristics change for each available facing, they all will protect the acoustic panel from minor impact, provide a cleanable surface, reduce particulates and have a small negative effect on the sound absorption performance. All Facing options are a Special Order item and are applied to the charcoal colored foam. If you have any additional questions about our facing options, please contact our Acoustic Consultants…they will be happy to help.
About Polyurethane Facing:
Polyurethane film is a tough, abrasion-resistant film surface that resists punctures and tears. It also exhibits good resistance to light duty chemicals and moisture. Available in three colors: White, Bone, and Black
Pros:
- Almost acoustically transparent, have little effect on NRC
- Color variety allows matching to décor
- White has high light reflectance
- Black for use where low light reflectance is desirable, such as some ceiling applications between joists etc.
- Relatively inexpensive way to provide a nice looking wall product
Cons:
- Not heat resistance
- Light duty chemical resistant.
- Can puncture with heavy pressure
- Special order only
About Tedlar® Facing:
Tedlar® PVF film is a tough, durable, preformed polyvinyl fluoride film. The unique weathering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and stain-resistant properties of Tedlar® make it an ideal protective surfacing material.
Pros:
- Excellent resistance to oils, gas, certain chemicals
- Strong

Quiet Batt®
The shipment arrived today and half the batts Quiet Batt® are now in place on two walls and the concrete floor. Just wanted you to know that your sound deadening batts have already substantially reduced the furnace noise in the house. The noise level is really muffled and certainly not intrusive any longer... so I'm thinking I may not even install the rest of it as it needs to be suspended. Have another test to do, but we are very pleased with your recommendation so far. My guess is that since the batts are exposed inside a excessively large cold air return chamber where the air is not filtered, dust will probably accumulate over time, but with the pleated furnace filter being the next stage for air flow I'm sure the filter will trap it. If it becomes too dusty I'll consider it a bonus and it will probably add to the noise absorbing qualities. Just kidding. As you know living in the desert southwest, people learn to live with dust, unlike Chambersburg.
