Other Acoustic Panel Models
Adhesive mounting is ideally suited for permanent applications requiring speed and ease of installation. This type of installation requires little to no layout time depending on various field conditions. Use this method if there is a potential for impact or other stresses. The adhesive method provides the strongest bond between panel and wall.
Z-clip mounting is ideal for applications where frequent panel removal & re-hanging is required. This type of installation demands careful planning and layout before the panels are placed on the wall. This type of mounting method will not support more weight than the panel itself. Panels mounted with Z-clips cannot be subjected to peel away stress as this may cause a failure of panel to Z-clip bond.
What exactly is the 250 Series Udderly Quiet™ Acoustic Panel?
The Udderly Quiet™ 250 series Acoustic Panel consists of an Acoustical Glass Mineral Wool core wrapped in an Acoustic Fabric. This Acoustic Panel is has an Aluminum frame. The Aluminum Frame adds edge protection in areas of traffic and adds to the overall panel stability.
What is an Acoustic Fabric and what are my options?
An Acoustic Fabric is a fabric that is considered acoustically transparent. All Acoustic Fabrics have whats called an “Open Weave” which allows sound to travel through the fabric material and into the sound absorbent core. There are 1000’s of Acoustic Fabric Options.
Do I have to use one of your fabrics or can I provide my own?
These are your panels! We will wrap them in whatever fabric you choose. All we ask is that you send us a 36 inch x 36 inch sample of fabric so we can test it out. We want to make sure the adhesive bonds the materials properly and also make sure the adhesive doesn’t “bleed” through the fabric and create spots on the face of the panel.
How Big can I get my Acoustic Panels?
The largest we can construct a seamless 200, 300 and 400 Series Acoustic Panel is up to 4 ft. x 10 ft. For Larger Acoustic Panels, check out the 250 Series and the 350 Series. Those models have Aluminum Frames which allows for larger panel construction.
What Shapes are available with the 200 Series Acoustic Panels?
These panels are totally customizable. We can make anything from rectangles to circles to free-form shapes. Some of our clients have provided patterns of modular designs. Check out our Udderly Quiet™ Acoustic Panels Gallery for some creative ways to use these Acoustic Panels.
What are the Most Economical sizes for Acoustic Panels?
Any Panel where one of the dimensions is 4 foot. 2 ft. x 4 ft., 4 ft. x 4 ft., 4 ft. x 5 ft., 4 ft x 8 ft. and 4 ft. x 10 ft. are the most popular and economical sizes for Acoustic Panels.
What Edge Profiles are available for the 200 Series Acoustic Panels?
We offer these panels with Square, Beveled and Rounded edges. The Square and Beveled Profiles are by far the most popular.
How Many Acoustic Panels do I need?
We use Proprietary Acoustic Software and information from you about your space to answer this question. We use three main criteria to determine how much acoustic material is needed. First, we need to know the Dimensions (Length, Width and Height) of the Room or Space that is being treated. Typically, the larger the space the more Acoustic Panels are needed to drop the reverb time to a preferred level.
Second, we need to know the existing Wall, Ceiling and Floor construction materials. All Construction materials like Drywall, Concrete, Brick, Metal, Wood and Carpet have industry accepted inherent Acoustic Values that affect the acoustics of the space. We know these values and use them to help determine how much Acoustic Material is needed to get the desired results.
Third, we need to know How the Space is being used or the function of the space. The use of the space greatly affects the amount of absorption materials needed to achieve the desired results. Different spaces require different reverberation times. For example, A Recording Studio requires a much lower reverb time than an Office environment. A Restaurant requires a different reverb time than a Home Theater. We know the Industry accepted reverb times for a multitude of spaces and use these times when determining the amount of acoustic coverage.

I absolutely love my panels that I got from Soundproof Cow. They look great and they’re durable. Just yesterday someone wasn’t paying attention and ran into the edge where the aluminum frame is protecting it. I think the panels did more harm to him than he did to the panels, not a mark on them. These have worked out great

Just got the panels with the aluminum framing finally installed. I keep looking at the panels whenever we have meetings in the conference room because of how great they look. The fact that we were able to get the panels in a color that matched our room was originally thought to be impossible. And I don’t know what the panel would look like without the frame but I know ours has some really nice noticeable edges. It’s a great quality panel. I would get more in a heartbeat if I needed them again.
This has been quite a process so I was really hoping that the panels were worth the time and money we put into getting them. I called in maybe two months ago and spoke with Jim. He is who I dealt with the entire month and a half I was figuring out what I needed. To only deal with one person for something that takes this long was such a huge help. He didn’t need to be caught up with what “our situation” was every time we called in. He also helped me figure out how many panels I would need, ideas of where the panels could go, and what options I would want to go with. I didn’t do anything overly special but I did get the aluminum frame because I liked the nice edge the frames gave and also it did add a little protection for when people bump into them. We got the exact panels that we wanted, color, size, thickness, everything was exactly what we had talked about. They stopped the sound issue like I was told it would and they look great and they’re tough, the aluminum frame was definitely a good idea. We will be back in touch the second we have a soundproofing issue.
