Difficulty Level - Very Easy Soft Sound® Studio Foams are designed to improve sound quality within a studio or recording environment by reducing reverberation (echo). Our Soft Sound® Studio Foams are professional grade sound improvement products for use in commercial or home recording / listening settings. Excellent acoustic performance combined with a variety of architectural textures, sizes and colors offers endless design potential. Soft Sound® Studio Foams are designed to absorb sound from low to high frequencies and will improve the sound quality of any environment that suffers from poor acoustics. Soft Sound® Studio Foams are available with a Class A flammability rating that will pass most building code requirements for exposed materials. All of our Studio Foam products are made with the highest grades of acoustic foam.

How to Choose

In general, choosing the right Soft Sound® Studio Foam depends on the frequency/s that needs to be controlled and desired architectural appearance. Four product models are identified below to help select the right product. Most of our studio foams are available with a Class A flammability rating. See our Soft Sound® Class A Studio Foams.

For low, middle and high frequency control with a 3D convoluted texture, select Soft Sound® Anechoic Studio Foam.

For low, middle and high frequency control with a 3D pyramid texture, select Soft Sound® Pyramid Studio Foam.

For low frequency (bass) control with a linear texture, select Soft Sound® Bass Wedge Studio Foam.

For low frequency (bass) control as a corner unit, select Soft Sound® Corner Trap Studio Foam.

Flammability — Soft Sound® Studio Foams are manufactured from polyurethane foam that has a flammability rating of UL94 HF-1. Polyurethane Foam Warning

All Polyurethane Foams, including Combustion Modified Foams, will burn. Do not expose to any flame source. Once ignited, they can produce rapid flame spread, intense heat, dense smoke and toxic gases causing death. Warnings should be given to your employees and or customers. Test data does not necessarily reflect a foams performance under actual fire conditions. Before purchasing any foam, be sure to check with your local code officials to confirm the required flammability rating of exposed materials for your area.
