UDDERLY QUIET® 400 SERIES ACOUSTIC PANELS

The Udderly Quiet™ 400 Series is our exclusive line of ultra-thin acoustic panels. Perfect for any application in which a low profile is required, the 400 Series nevertheless offers exceptional sound-deadening properties while remaining affordable enough for any budget.

The 400 Series achieves this impressive feat thanks to its medium-density, 10-lb. acoustical mineral wool core. At just ½” thick, 400 Series panels can be installed on any wall or other flat surface. They are ideally suited for installation in home recording studios, where making the best use of space is an important priority. Because of their dense inner core, 400 Series panels also offer good impact resistance — another ideal characteristic in small spaces where collisions with people, hardware and instruments are common.

Other potential applications for our low-profile acoustic paneling include home offices, classrooms, broadcast studios and more.

Customizable to Suit Your Requirements

400 Series thin acoustic panels are available in a range of sizes up to 4’ by 10’. Any purchase can be customized with your choice of vinyl or fabric coverings. We can work with any color of material to create a finished product that meets your design requirements. Alternately, shop our in-stock collection of low-profile panels in various popular sizes and colors.

Installing our low-profile acoustic panels is easy. Because of their light weight, they can be glued permanently in place using our PL® Construction Adhesive or fixed temporarily using Z-clips, Velcro or another fastener. FAQs

What exactly is the 400 Series Udderly Quiet™ Acoustic Panel?

The Udderly Quiet® 400 series Acoustic Panel consists of a 10 lb. Acoustical Glass Mineral Wool core that is Impact Resistant. The Core is then wrapped with an Acoustic Fabric of your choice.

What is an Acoustic Fabric and what are my options?

An Acoustic Fabric is a fabric that is considered acoustically transparent. All Acoustic Fabrics have whats called an “Open Weave” which allows sound to travel through the fabric material and into the sound absorbent core. There are 1000’s of Acoustic Fabric Options.

Do I have to use one of your fabrics or can I provide my own?

These are your panels! We will wrap them in whatever fabric you choose. All we ask is that you send us a 36 inch x 36 inch sample of fabric so we can test it out. We want to make sure the adhesive bonds the materials properly and also make sure the adhesive doesn’t “bleed” through the fabric and create spots on the face of the panel.

How Big can I get my Acoustic Panels?

The largest we can construct a seamless 200300 and 400 Series Acoustic Panel is up to 4 ft. x 10 ft. For Larger Acoustic Panels, check out the 250 Series and the 350 Series. Those models have Aluminum Frames which allows for larger panel construction.

What Shapes are available with the 200 Series Acoustic Panels?

These panels are totally customizable. We can make anything from rectangles to circles to free-form shapes. Some of our clients have provided patterns of modular designs. Check out our Udderly Quiet® Acoustic Panels Gallery for some creative ways to use these Acoustic Panels.

What are the Most Economical sizes for Acoustic Panels?

Any Panel where one of the dimensions is 4 foot. 2 ft. x 4 ft., 4 ft. x 4 ft., 4 ft. x 5 ft., 4 ft x 8 ft. and 4 ft. x 10 ft. are the most popular and economical sizes for Acoustic Panels.

What Edge Profiles are available for the 400 Series Acoustic Panels?

We offer these panels with Square edge.

How Many Acoustic Panels do I need?

We use Proprietory Acoustic Software and information from you about your space to answer this question. We use three main criteria to determine how much acoustic material is needed. First, we need to know the Dimensions (Length, Width and Height) of the Room or Space that is being treated. Typically, the larger the space the more Acoustic Panels are needed to drop the reverb time to a preferred level.

Second, we need to know the existing Wall, Ceiling and Floor construction materials. All Construction materials like Drywall, Concrete, Brick, Metal, Wood and Carpet have industry accepted inherent Acoustic Values that affect the acoustics of the space. We know these values and use them to help determine how much Acoustic Material is needed to get the desired results.

Third, we need to know How the Space is being used or the function of the space. The use of the space greatly affects the amount of absorption materials needed to achieve the desired results. Different spaces require different reverberation times. For example, A Recording Studio requires a much lower reverb time than an Office environment. A Restaurant requires a different reverb time than a Home Theater. We know the Industry accepted reverb times for a multitude of spaces and use these times when determining the amount of acoustic coverage.

Adhesive

Adhesive Panel MountingAdhesive mounting is ideally suited for permanent applications requiring speed and ease of installation. This type of installation requires little to no layout time depending on various field conditions. Use this method if there is a potential for impact or other stresses. The adhesive method provides the strongest bond between panel and wall.

Hook and Loop

Hook and Loop Panel MountingHook and loop mounting is suggested for temporary applications where panels may be removed and relocated for future use. This method is not intended for constant panel removal and re-hanging. This type of installation demands a moderate amount of planning and layout before the panels are placed on the wall. Panels mounted with the hook and loop method cannot be subjected to peel away stress as this may cause failure of panel to wall bond.

I have emailed a lot of different manufactures and I have to say your customer service is head and shoulders above all of them. I emailed your company at about 9pm my time and when I woke up the next morning you had already answered my question and then the follow up was a few hours later. I am impressed. Thanks a lot for the quick turn around!

– E. Gustafson, NV

I just wanted to send a quick thank you for your rapid response and helpfulness. I very much appreciated it. You have been responsive in every way all through the process. It has been a pleasure doing business with you and your company.

– T. Alexander, CA

I just wanted to let you know that in the end, sealing the air spaces on this door worked just fine and took care of the problem.

I really appreciate you taking so much time to share your expertise with me, and in particular recommending I try the simpler solution before investing in more expensive noise barriers. That is a big credit to you and your business.

– Mike
