Use PR 11 Before Installing Proflex™ 90 Underlayment
Proflex™ 90 is our unique soundproofing product for floors. It’s a laminated rubberized membrane flooring layment that you can install on your ceramic tile, stone or brick floor to provide effective soundproofing and dramatically reduce sound transmission between floors. While you can easily install this product without special tools, it will be most effective if you apply a primer beforehand. PR 11 Water-Based Primer is our water-based primer product designed specifically for preparing your floor to apply Proflex™ 90 flooring underlayment.
Each order of our PR 11 Water-Based Primer comes as a one-gallon pail, which is enough to cover as much as 300 square feet. Simply shake up the product and then apply evenly with a roller.
Make sure your substrate surface is completely clean, dry and clear of debris first. If you’re using the product in an exterior location, make sure no rain is forecast anywhere nearby within a few hours of when you intend to use it.
After 15 to 45 minutes, your floor substrate should be fully primed, and you can confidently apply your Proflex™ 90 for high-quality soundproofing.
Our PR 11 Water-Based Primer can help ensure that your floor underlayment enjoys a tight bond with the subfloor on everything from wood to concrete.
